About the Role

• Lead matters from start to finish in family, property, estate and litigation.
• Appear in court and at mediations.
• Liaise directly with clients, counsel and external parties.
• Draft advice, correspondence and court documents.
• Contribute to matter strategy and advise on risk, value and commercial outcomes.
• Work across both transactional and litigation matters, often simultaneously.
• Take ownership of your work under the supervision of a highly experienced and respected Principal.
• Collaborate with the Principal on complex matters and key client relationships.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and provide guidance and support to the team as it grows.

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Minimum 5 years post-admission experience in private practice.
• Current NSW practising certificate.
• Strong, clear communicator who knows how to build trust.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills across varied legal contexts.
• Proven experience in family law, property law, wills and estates, litigation. Other areas are a bonus.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise independently.
• Ability to deliver legal advice in plain English.
